Michael works with PLC and machine software, industrial HMI, commissioning and practical AI. The thread through that work is the machine as it actually runs: states, alarms, operator actions and the data those actions leave behind.

Machine software is the part that has to survive contact with mechanics, electrical design and safety. Sequences, modes and fault handling are where a project either becomes predictable or turns into troubleshooting at FAT.

Industrial HMI is the surface an operator uses for that software. A flat list of control messages is hard to act on. A view that separates an initiating condition from a dependent one, and shows the action that is allowed, gives the operator a place to work from.

Commissioning is where the software meets the hardware. Practical AI, when it is used, has to sit on the same source of truth: approved procedures, versioned documents, and a refusal when the source does not cover the question.
